Patricia Korth-McDonnell, the former president of Huge who spent nearly 13 years with the agency, has joined digital mortgage lending brand Better Mortgage as its head of marketing.

Moving forward, she will oversee brand strategy, marketing and overall customer experience for a company that looks to simplify the home buying process.

“As Better expands across the country and engages with more and more homeowners, we need to find new and innovative ways to project our brand and our message. Patricia’s leadership skills and expertise in creative strategy, user experience and interactive marketing, make her the ideal person to lead our marketing team,” said CEO and co-founder Vishal Garg.

He added: “We are thrilled to welcome Patricia to the Better family, as we continue our mission of offering homebuyers a mortgage process that is affordable, efficient and transparent.”

Korth-McDonnell added, “As a home owner, I’m personally very familiar with how the mortgage process makes what should be a thrilling life milestone into a confusing and anxiety-filled trial. Better Mortgage is not just making that process less painful, they’re completely revolutionizing how the industry works, and doing it by putting the customer first. It’s a mission that I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to as a marketer and I look forward to helping to continue the company’s amazing growth as we move forward.”

She succeeds Taylor Salditch, who was vp of marketing.

Korth-McDonnell was one of Huge’s first employees, working her way up within the organization to become West Coast managing director before moving back to New York and serving as CMO then co-president.

She departed along with co-founder and CEO Aaron Shapiro as part of the executive restructuring first announced in March that saw international president Michael Koziol take the top role.

Several other Huge executives, including its VP of media, COO, chief talent officer and president of platform strategy, left a few weeks after that announcement. Since then, however, the agency has been relatively quiet on the C-level change front.

Better Mortgage recently announced an expansion into three new states and hired a new Head of Credit Risk and Chief Economist.
