BBH has hired FCB New York’s Laura Cona as the agency’s head of growth. Cona will report to BBH NY President Amani Duncan and will oversee growth for the New York and Los Angeles offices.

“Today’s appointment demonstrates BBH’s commitment to an ambitious growth agenda and attracting the best talent in the business,” said Duncan in a statement.

Cona most recently served as senior vice president and director of business development at FCB New York, where her team delivered seven new business wins in 2020 and made 68 new hires, which helped earn the network Adweek’s Global Agency of the Year status. Cona previously spearheaded YouTube’s first-ever global marketing campaign at co:collective, and she began her career at JWT.

BBH continues to add new members to its leadership and creative teams. Duncan was hired in October 2020, and Tom Callard was promoted to chief strategy officer at BBH NY in April of this year. The New York office also added Kasia Canning and Estefanio Holtz as creative directors in May. Those hires came after BBH laid off 20% of its employees in L.A. and N.Y. during the pandemic.

“Now is an exciting moment to join the BBH team, an agency with an enviable creative legacy of consistently delivering iconic work for brands, including some of the most talked about work of 2021,” said Cona in a statement. “By combining innovative ideas with all the modern capabilities businesses need to thrive, we see an incredible opportunity to grow alongside our clients.”
