BBDO Minneapolis Taps Sue Batterson as Executive Creative Director

BBDO Minneapolis has hired veteran creative Sue Batterton as its executive creative director.

Batterson was previously creative group head at The Richards Group before heading to the Twin Cities. She comes from a writing background, earning her MFA in fiction as a Michener Fellow at the University of Texas, where she was nominated for Best New American Voices.

Batterson started her advertising career at McKinney, then worked her way up the copywriting ladder at shops including Red Deluxe, Archer Malmo and Brunner before landing at the Richards Group.

She’s written for brands including Jeep, Ram, Alfa Romeo, Chick-fil-A, Royal Caribbean, Zippo and Ulta Beauty, and has won awards from The One Show, Communication Arts, the Webbys and the National Addy Awards.
