BBDO Hires New Group Planning Director on AT&T

By Kiran Aditham

BBDO announced that as of June 7, Jeff Kenyon will assume the role of EVP/group planning director on AT&T. Kenyon replaces James Fox, who left in March to take on the CSO post at the newly formed Red Peak Group.

Kenyon, who joins from Ogilvy where he was also a group planning director, will split time between BBDO’s New York and Atlanta offices and report to BBDO North America deputy chairman Troy Ruhanen. Along with his Ogilvy experience, Kenyon also spent two years each at Goodby and Cliff Freeman & Partners as a planning director as well as four years on the account side at Fallon.

Some of Kenyon’s more recent responsibilities before leaving Ogilvy included the American Express “My life, my card” and IBM’s “Smarter Planet” campaigns, the latter of which is among the finalists for this year’s Global Effie award.
