Barbarian Hires Leo Leone as Executive Creative Director

Barbarian welcomed Leo Leone as executive creative director.

“Leo is a Barbarian. His passion for creativity, story-telling and technology is what we’re all about,” Barbarian CEO Cathy Butler said in a statement. “He’s an exceptional creative visionary and I’m confident that bringing him onboard means continued momentum of more great work and even more client wins.”

“Barbarian’s work, attitude and aspiration have the same wide-eyed enthusiasm that drove me to work in digital in the first place,” Leone added. “I’m stoked to be part of the team that will define what’s next for the agency and the industry.”

Leone joins the agency from Edelman Digital, where he served as senior vice president, executive creative director for nearly two years, working on Samsung and the Hawaii Visitors Convention Bureau. Before that he spent over two years at MRY as group creative director and then executive creative director. Prior to that he spent a little over a year as a group creative director for Digitas LBi. Over the course of his career he has worked with brands including Adobe, Coca-Cola and AT&T.
