Nebraska-based independent agency Bailey Lauerman promoted Marty Amsler to the position of executive creative director.

Amsler originally arrived at the agency back in 1997 as a freelancer. “At the time, I just wanted to develop my skills as a writer and I was fortunate that Bailey Lauerman gave me that opportunity,” he said. “I took a shot at pitching a concept for a project I wasn’t even officially working on – but the team liked it and presented it to the client. The client ended up loving it and it became a campaign they used for several years.”

Amsler most recently served as vice president, creative director, leading creative strategy for clients such as Panda Express and Union Pacific. Over the years, he has also worked with brands including Disney, Sergeant’s and Bass Pro Shops and has been awarded by The One Show and the ADDYs, among others. Before beginning his career in advertising with Bailey Lauerman he played bass for Lincoln alternative rock band The Millions, who recorded an album for for Chicago-based PolyGram subsidiary Smash Records and opened for Sheryl Crow

“Marty is really passionate about the brands he works with. He develops such a deep understanding of their industry and their consumers,” said Bailey Lauerman chief creative officer Carter Weitz. “His strategic focus has been the foundation for some amazingly effective creative ideas that have made a lasting impact on his clients’ businesses.”
