Baby Clothing Company Carter’s Bets on Big Game Baby Making

By Kyle O'Brien

There has been a recent “baby boom” trend nine months after the Super Bowl, which has led baby and children’s apparel company Carter’s to put up some not-so-subtle out-of-home promotions in the two cities that had teams in the Big Game.

Whether it’s winning team celebration love making or consolation sex after their team lost, Carter’s is celebrating couples for baby making and looking forward to the next generation of football fans in its new “Born a Champion” campaign.

As part of the brand’s Big Game marketing stunt, billboards are popping up in Kansas City and Philadelphia starting today through February 28. Carter’s is rewarding anyone who made an intimate touchdown off the field with a free bodysuit, while supplies last.

“Given the track record, we’re expecting a baby boom once again this year, nine months after the Big Game. Our ‘Born a Champion’ campaign bets on parents’ touchdown celebrations both on and off the field. We look forward to celebrating for a second time this fall,” said Jeff Jenkins, Carter’s executive vice president, global marketing in a statement.

The bodysuit for the winning team states “Celebration time! See you in 9 months.” The losing team bodysuit spins it positively with “2nd place is for lovers. See you in 9 months.”
