Arnold Worldwide Reduces Staff in Boston, New York

By Erik Oster

Multiple parties have reached out today about holiday season layoffs at Arnold Worldwide, and the agency confirmed that there have been some staff reductions at the Havas network’s Boston and New York offices.

“We can confirm that we recently made some staff adjustments in Boston and New York,” an agency spokesperson said in a statement. “We’re constantly evaluating our business and making adjustments as needed to meet changing client needs.”

The spokesperson declined to offer any specifics on the scope of the layoffs, but one source claims it impacted around 20 employees, most of whom were stationed in the agency’s Boston office.

Another anonymous source claims the cuts result from changes in unspecified accounts and internal demands to trim approximately $2 million in salary. The statement attributing the layoffs to “changing client needs” adds weight to the assertion that the agency acted in response to reduced activity on some accounts.
