Following its recent Johnnie Walker win, Anomaly convinced the Danish duo Martin and Lars to trade their New York home base for an office in Amsterdam.

Martin Peters Ginsborg and Lars Mars Jorgensen, who decided to “form an all Danish creative director team” in 2012 to take on the New York agency world, have already relocated to The Netherlands, where they will serve as partners and ECDs at Anomaly Amsterdam.

The pair is not new to Anomaly. From their shared portfolio page:

“The last couple of years they have worked hard and often in the Anomaly offices in New York, until finally committing to join the Anomaly Amsterdam office beginning 2015.”

The two first joined forces at mcgarrybowen, where Ginsborg served as a copywriter for five years and Jorgensen was a creative director; they worked together on Reebok and Marriott. They also spent time together at Grey New York, where Ginsborg held the VP/ACD title and Jorgensen was a creative director on the NFL account.

As a freelance team, the two also worked on projects for Saatchi&Saatchi, Barkley, Mullen, JWT, BBDO, Digitas, and Hornet Films.

Anomaly Founding Partner/Global CCO Mike Byrne compares Martin and Lars to “the perfect sandwich,” writing:

“I’ve spent a good part of the last two years working with Martin and Lars. And I’ve found myself missing them when they are not around. They have this infectious creative energy that is quite addictive.”

In their new roles, Ginsborg and Jorgensen will work alongside Anomaly Amsterdam CEO Hazelle Klønhammer and CSO Amanda Fève.

The release positions their hire as the beginning of a worldwide effort to “recruit exceptional talent, across all disciplines” for upcoming work on Johnnie Walker, Converse, and other accounts.
