AKQA, Nike Sell Clothing Using Burritos

Fans and followers of @nikesportswear and @koifusionpdx on Twitter received messages hinting at a new menu item, the Destroyer Burrito. They were instructed to check in via Facebook Places and request the Destroyer at the Koi Fusion truck near Portland State University. The results were huge line-ups, happy and surprised customers, and a flurry of buzz on social media platforms for Nike Sportswear and their sponsorship of Musicfest NW.

Pretty cool idea, but just constrained to such a small demographic, no? Broaden the horizon, pop up a bunch of taco stands at multiple University’s, put them right out there in the city with all of the other vendors or maybe in parks. Who knows? The possibilities could be endless. Maybe this was just a trial run.
