A&G Hires Digitas, Razorfish Alum as ‘Creator of Opportunities’

By Michael Musco

Andrew Graff, CEO at Allen & Gerritsen,  announced  that Joel Idelson will be joining the agency as SVP and something called “creator of opportunities,” which is a new position. It’s been both annoying and entertaining to keep up with all the new titles these days but anyhow, Idelson is a Publicis Groupe vet who was formerly vice-president at Digitas and Razorfish and most recently served as president of an experiential marketing agency named Street Attack, which has offices in Boston and New York. In addition, he spent time in the entertainment field as an artist, writer, and producer.

He says in a statement, “I am the antithesis of the typical biz dev guy. We don’t ‘sell’ anything to anyone, we solve complex marketing problems for our clients and this starts with fostering trust by building long lasting, meaningful relationships with them.” Indie agency A&G counts clients including the Boston Celtics and Partnership for a Drug-Free America.
