Ad Tech, iProspect Vet J.B. Brokaw Joins January Digital as President, COO

By Patrick Coffee

January Digital, the media, consulting and digital marketing shop that opened in New York seven years ago, announced today that it has named its first president and chief operating officer.

J.B. Brokaw joins the agency after spending nearly six years as North American president of programmatic software company Sociomantic Labs GmbH. In 2014 that company was acquired by data science group Dunnhumby, itself now a part of retail giant Tesco.

He will be based in the agency’s New York headquarters and commute to a second office in Dallas.

Both Brokaw and January Digital founder and CEO Vic Drabicky worked at interactive firm Range Online Media, which was acquired by iProspect in 2008. Brokaw was iProspect’s chief client officer before being named vice president and general manager of Range Online Media.

He’s also served on January Digital’s advisory board since 2015.

“I am thrilled to have J.B. officially join the team,” Drabicky said in a statement. “I’ve been lucky enough to work with J.B. in a multitude of ways for the past 10-plus years and have seen how unbelievably talented he is not only at building a company, but also at building incredibly strong teams.”

Brokaw is tasked with providing operational oversight and leading product offerings at January Digital. His appointment follows new offerings from the agency and client wins including David’s Bridal, Kendra Scott and Vineyard Vines.

“I’m beyond excited to join and help lead the amazing team at January Digital,” Brokaw added in a statement. “Vic and I have been each other’s sounding boards for more than a decade now, and it’s truly going to be an honor to work alongside him in this new role.”
