Your friends at 72andSunny have expanded their team in the Netherlands by the count of nine.

According to the release, these fine professionals hail from Sweden, Brazil, India, Singapore, the U.S., Australia and the U.K. And they work in nearly every department, too.

Why did the hires come about? Because of new partnerships with clients such as IKEA, eBay, Uber and Johnnie Walker. Also, from the release: “Borne out of the company’s belief that diverse views lead to more progressive, purposeful and efficient work, the recent hires expand the current global talent, which hosts over 30 nationalities.”

72andSunny Amsterdam is on a never-ending mission to throw together the most weird and wonderful humans from the four corners of the world to see what they come up with,” said partner and managing director Nic Owen. “We’ve got a long, long way to go to get the balance spot on, but this lot are a very decent, very talented bunch that are helping us merrily on our way.”

The new hires are:

  • Group brand director Lauren Portelli
  • Creative directors Anders Stake, Matt Firth and Adam Koppel
  • Strategy director Fernando Ribeiro
  • Senior writer Mareka Stake
  • Executive producer Kerli Teo
  • Brand director Vivek Krishnaswamy
  • Experience design director Mark Jenkins

Professionally, they come to the MDC Partners shop from its Los Angeles headquarters along with other agencies like BBH London, Wieden + Kennedy India, David.

In related news, a recent report in Australia’s AdNews called the Amsterdam office “the least parochial place in advertising.” Pretty sure that’s a good thing.
