72andSunny Amsterdam Promotes Axe, Google Creatives to Deputy ECD

By Patrick Coffee

This week, the Amsterdam office of 72andSunny announced the promotions of CDs Laura Visco and Rey Andrade to deputy executive creative director.

The two will now officially join the office’s management team and play a larger role in expanding and diversifying its creative output moving forward.

The news comes after the two led a series of successful campaigns for clients such as Axe, Google and Uber. Argentina-born Visco’s work on the Axe “Find Your Magic” campaign, which helped reposition a brand best known for adolescent hijinks, earned her a place on the Adweek Creative 100 list this year.

Andrade has spent the past 7 years with 72andSunny, first in its L.A. office working on Activision and Sonos before heading to Amsterdam in 2016. Since then he has helped lead the work for Google and Uber, with examples including the campaigns below for Google Home and Uber Eats.

“Laura and Rey have a great track record within this company and have done great work on brands like Activision, Google, Uber and Axe. Both reflect our values and are living representation of how we value diverse voices in our company,” said ECDs Carlo Cavallone and Stuart Harkness in the press release, adding that they were promoted because “it’s important that we inject fresh ideas and people in our leadership and that we keep changing.”

The release tells us 72andSunny now employs 175 in the Netherlands, with big hires this year including director of strategy Tracey Lee and talent director Willemein Van Der Wal.
