72andSunny Amsterdam Adds Pair of CDs

72andSunny Amsterdam appointed Simon Schmitt and Rey Andrade as creative directors, with both reporting to executive creative directors Carlo Cavallone and Stuart Harkness.

Schmitt joins the agency from 101 London, where he has served as creative director since September of 2013. He originally left his native France back in 2006 to work as a co-creative director on brands including Adidas Originals, MGM Grand, Cirque du Soleil and Red Bull for Sid Lee Montreal. After three years he left for AKQA, where he worked asa creative director on the agency’s Nike U.K. account. He returned to Sid Lee two years later, serving as creative director on adidas for the agency’s Amsterdam office before leaving for 101 London around a year and a half later. 

Andrade makes the move from 72andSunny Los Angeles, where he worked on the agency’s Activision and Sonos accounts. Prior to that, he worked for various agencies in San Francisco, including Venables Bell & Partners and Agency215, creating work for brands such as Xbox, HBO and Audi.
