Today in News We Should Have Published on Monday, 360i has hired Piper Hickman as its newest group creative director.

The announcement marks one of the bigger gets for CCO Menno Kluin, who left Deutsch just under a year ago to lead the Dentsu shop’s creative department.

The copywriter will partner with GCD/ art director Alex Shulhafer in her new gig to lead creative for clients including Hanes, Champion and unnamed other brands.

“I’m looking forward to working with Piper again. She has a forward-thinking mindset, but is trained with traditional conceptual skills, which is exactly what we look for here,” said Kluin, who worked with her at Saatchi & Saatchi. “As a team, she and Alex will ensure we continue to serve as trusted creative advisors to our clients, while developing and coaching our talent to create smart and innovative work.”

In addition to her time at Saatchi, Hickman also worked as a copywriter and CD at DDB, CP+B and mcgarrybowen. Over the past 7 years, she’s become an in-demand freelance CD thanks to her work for McCann, VML, Taxi, Havas, Ogilvy, Barton F. Graf and more.

She added: “360i is consistently recognized as an agency that can adapt and stay ahead of the curve, so it’s great to be joining at this time. There’s a lot of momentum and potential right now. Alex is a tour de force, and Menno is someone who constantly pushes creative to the next level. I can’t wait to work with them.”

In addition to her agency work, Hickman has mentored a number of young ad professionals and frequently appears on panels arranged by “She Works Hard for the Money,” an industry group looking to help women in the industry manage their own careers.
