30-Year Saatchi New York Music Department Vet Lands at Mixtape Club

By Erik Oster

When Saatchi & Saatchi New York closed its music department in September, among those impacted was thirty-year agency veteran Eric Korte, who had served as vice president, director of music for the agency since 1991. Now New York integrated creative studio Mixtape Club has announced the appointment of Korte to the position of head of production; music and sound.

Korte will be joined by Sallie Moore, who served as executive producer at music and sound company The Lodge Music for over a decade, in the complimentary position of executive producer. Moore will handle client relations and business development, while Korte will work with clients throughout the song selection and music production process.

The move follows Mixtape Club’s partnership with composer’s collective Huma-Huma, which has become the agency’s  music department. Mixtape Club’s appointments of Korte and Moore round out the new department with senior leadership.

“Our recent expansion was all about creating a flexible workspace and workflow that would support multidisciplinary content for our staff and clients alike,” said Mixtape Club partner, executive creative director Chris Lenox Smith. “But we know that even when you have the best tools and creative talent, you have to have the right leadership in place to get the most out of it. Eric and Sallie are the dream team to make that happen because they’re in tune with the creative process, as well as the idea of building a business — not to mention they know our industry from both the client and production side.”
