Independent agency 22squared expanded its leadership team with several new hires and promotions across its Tampa and Atlanta offices, all of whom are female, continuing its trend of gender diversity. The agency pointed out in a press release that it boasts 68 percent female employees, 47 percent female creatives, 80 percent female senior vice presidents and 29 percent female executive leadership.

22squared promoted Cheryl Davis to the position of chief financial officer, making her the first woman to fill that role at the agency. She succeeds Tom Fuller in the role, who recently retired after 25 years with the agency and 30 years in advertising, and will report directly to 22squared CEO Richard Ward. Davis first joined the agency as an account supervisor back in 1994, working her way up various account management positions to become senior vice president, director of finance in 2012.

The agency also made three new additions to its creative team with the arrivals of senior copywriter Kristin Wellmer, art director Katie Davis and junior copywriter Hannah Heller.
