The entry deadline the 2011 Effie Awards is set for October 13. To help enhance this year’s award experience, Effie Worldwide is introducing the “Effie Effectiveness Index,” ranking marketing companies according to their performance in Effie competitions throughout the year.
Effie also plans to expand its award categories to include for the first time marketing for LGBT issues, recession topics, energy and nutrition products and services, and insurance. With over 50 categories to vote on, nearly everything is fair game.
Entry applications can be found on Effie’s website along with rules and future deadlines. Unless it’s the Tracy’s we’re talking about, tagging any campaign with “award-winning” never hurts. Just ask last year’s Grand Effie winners, Leo Burnett Detroit and their “I’m In” campaign.
