180 L.A. Adds Pair of Creative Directors

180 L.A. has hired Dan Kroeger and Wilson Mateos as its newest creative directors.

Kroeger joins 180L.A. from W+K Portland, where he served as creative director on the agency’s recent “Just A Kid” campaign for Powerade and “The Year of You” for TurboTax. He originally joined W+K as a copywriter in 2009, receiving a promotion to creative director in 2013. Other brands he worked with at the agency include Nike, Facebook, Sony, EA and Target. Prior to joining W+K, he served as a copywriter and associate creative director with Berlin Cameron United for two years. That followed six years as a copywriter with Ogilvy & Mather, during which time he worked with brands including Miller Lite, American Express, Motorola, Sprite, and IBM.

Mateos joins the agency from Fischer America in Sao Paulo, where he served as vice president, executive creative director. He spent more than two decades in the Brazilian ad industry, and he has also served as chief creative officer at digital IPG Group agency CuboCC.
