Like many large agencies, VMLY&R is seeing the opportunities in the healthcare sector and is investing more in health and healthcare marketing. To bolster its commitment to the sciences, VMLY&R has hired Sean Rooney, PhD, as its chief science officer, a new position at the agency.
Rooney, who holds a PhD in Immunology from Harvard, spent the past 15 years leading Omnicom’s medical education shop, the Scienomics Group. At VMLY&R he will lead the promotional science team and will help drive the integration of science across the agency’s expanding roster of health sector clients and business, building differentiated and evidence-based brand narratives.
