UM Appoints Trish Chuipek as First Global Chief Client Officer

Former CMO of Blue Box Toys with experience consulting for Epsilon

IPG Mediabrands’ UM has hired Trish Chuipek as its first global chief client officer, effective immediately.

Chuipek most recently was the chief marketing officer for Blue Box Toys and served six years as president of OMD Midwest and OMD Multicultural before that. Having experience on all sides of advertising, she’s also spent time at OgilvyOne Chicago and Lego and consulted for Epsilon, the data intelligence company Publicis Groupe announced that it bought this week for $4.4 billion.

Reporting to global CEO Daryl Lee, Chuipek will lead the network’s global client consultancy and develop new practices out of UM’s global New York headquarters. She will also work with regional leaders and will partner with UM global chief product officer Huw Griffiths “to drive new solutions for clients, including those designed in partnership with Acxiom” around strategy, innovation, content and data analytics, according to the agency. Arkansas database marketing company Acxiom, which collects and distributes information drawn from an estimated 2.2 billion consumers around the world, was acquired by IPG last year for more than $2 billion.

Her background as a data consultant and her experience as a CMO make her the perfect choice to lead new consulting solutions for our clients.”
