Tapad Confirms Closure of European Offices

The closure will allow the business to focus on larger markets

Identity resolution provider Tapad, owned by Experian, has confirmed that it is to cease operations in the U.K. and E.U. to focus on “larger markets.”

As first revealed by Adexchanger, the company, which operates a network of data providers called the Tapad Graph, in London and Frankfurt will no longer operate across Europe.

The European expansion of Tapad began in July 2014 led by a team of former Google, DoubleClick, AppNexus and Tapad U.S. executives. That team reported to former DoubleClick executive Ben Regensburger, then president of Tapad Europe.

Regensburger left the business in December 2015 and is now the chief executive of Peach after joining just over a year ago.
