Rec Rooms and Dive Bars Revisited: 'PBR: The Place' Opens for Fans in a Michigan Motel

One day it was an unassuming, rather generic double room at the Grand Traverse Motel in a northern Michigan touristy area known for its scenic highways, freshwater beaches and abundant vineyards.

But now these four walls house a fully replicated dive bar, complete with neon signs, dart board, jukebox, album art and payphone. The scene is meant to be a recreation so true to life, dotted with trucker hats and taxidermy animals, that visitors can almost smell the stale cigarette smoke.
