RAPP promoted agency veteran Anne Marie Neal to the newly created position of global CMO, effective immediately.
Neal will be tasked with advancing’s RAPP’s offering, amplifying growth opportunities with new and existing clients as well as enhancing network connectivity and partner collaboration. She will report to RAPP global CEO Marco Scognamiglio.
“Anne Marie is a leader who brings clarity to our clients about the changing landscape of our industry and their role in it,” Scognamiglio said in a statement. “She listens intently, capitalizes on RAPP’s heritage in data to glean insights and then collaborates to deliver results.”
Scognamiglio added that in her new role, Neal will “make RAPP’s customer-centric value proposition sharper than ever in service to our clients and their most valuable asset—their customers. It’s a position she’s passionate about and well-suited for.”
Neal is a RAPP veteran of over 12 years, having first joined the agency as a vp, group account director in 2005. Prior to the promotion, she served as president of RAPP San Francisco, where she was instrumental in driving business growth.
“The current breadth and pace of industry change requires agencies [that] can guide and lead a transformational discussion with their brand partners,” said Neal, adding that being “data-driven” no longer matters, as “every agency is claiming that.”
“Today’s modern marketers need data-native thinkers who can see and apply the right data to predict and improve performance across the entire customer experience in extremely creative ways,” she said.
