Throughout Black History Month, we’re partnering with agency owner Derek Walker on a series that highlights the ideas, perspectives and successes of Black advertising professionals.

Today we’re spotlighting a campaign created by Clifton Simmons, a UX content strategist at Allstate. A few years ago, Simmons participated in a volunteer program run by Allstate that gives employees the opportunity to use their skills and knowledge to help nonprofits. He ended up working with the DuSable Museum of African American History in Chicago, creating a campaign for the organization called “this is What We Du.”
