Pinterest has hired Martin Galvin, GroupM’s U.K. commercial strategy director, to lead its commercial partnerships programmes with media networks globally.

Galvin will become the platform’s first global agency commercial lead, based out of the U.K., after five years within the GroupM where he initially held the post of trading director, overseeing contractual arrangements for its clients. He was promoted into the WPP media umbrella group from Mediacom.

Taking up his new role in November, Galvin will be charged with leading commercial partnerships within media networks.
