Organic Hires New Chief Growth Officer

Michelle Tang joins the Omnicom digital agency

Omnicom-owned digital agency Organic has hired Michelle Tang as chief growth officer.

In the role, Tang will lead new business efforts, cross-network collaboration and agency marketing while reporting to Organic CEO David Shulman.

“I am so pleased to be able to work alongside Michelle for a second time in our careers, and know she will be a perfect fit to drive growth at Organic,” Shulman said in a statement, referencing the time they spent working together at Wunderman, where Shulman served as president. He explained Organic’s desire to perform transformative work for what he describes as a “strong client roster.”

“Our focus on architecting brand and customer interaction is building momentum for the future of our business,” Shulman said. “Michelle is passionate, tireless and a superb addition to our executive team.”

Tang is an industry veteran who spent four years with FCB New York, most recently serving as chief marketing officer. She was elevated to that title from her previous position as senior vice president, worldwide agency growth, based on her role in bringing in new business such as Clorox. Before joining FCB New York as director, worldwide agency growth in 2012, she served in business development director positions for Digitas Health and Wunderman.

“I’m eager to build relationships with the type of dynamic clients Organic thrives with,” Tang said. “I look forward to ramping up quickly and working alongside the incredible team to propel our business into the future. The team at Organic really understands how the power of digital has evolved and this is an exciting time to join such an innovative executive group.”
