Ogilvy Spain has named Cristina Barbosa, Vodafone brand director in the country, as its new chairperson, taking over from Alfonso Marián.

Barbosa will move to overseeing the running of the WPP creative agency’s Spanish presence from the beginning of May after eight-and-a-half years with the tech communications company. Her duties include responsibility for all aspects of the agency’s operations in Spain working alongside Marta Gutiérrez and Jordi Urbea, CEOs of the Madrid and Barcelona offices respectively, as well as chief growth officer Luis Riva and chief creative officer Roberto Fara.
