MDC Partners Takes Q4 Organic Revenue Hit

It pinned the drop on reduced spending from clients spurred by Covid-19

MDC Partners, the company that owns agencies including 72andSunny, Anomaly and Media Kitchen, reported its fourth quarter earnings today, sharing that its organic revenue dropped 13.7%.

Top line

Its drop is in line with other holding companies, all of which faced back-to-back organic revenue hits in 2020. In a statement, the company said organic revenue “declined primarily due to reduced spending by clients in connection with Covid-19.”

Still, Mark Penn, chairman and CEO of MDC Partners, spent much of the earnings call focusing on bright spots.
