McCann Bags Designer Outlet McArthurGlen's European Creative Account

The business moves from VCCP and will include agencies from the UK, France, Germany and Italy within the IPG-owned agency network

The European creative account for designer shopping outlet owner and developer McCarthurGlen has been handed to McCann across the U.K., France, Germany and Italy.

The client operates 26 shopping centers across 10 countries in Europe and in Canada, and claims it attracts a combined 90 million customers a year. The appointment will see its creative advertising led by McCann London with support from the other locations within the agency network.

Part of the brief will see McCann create a new platform for the brand which will aim to extend consumer growth among key markets throughout the regions in which it operates.

In a statement, Nathalie Pomroy, CMO, McArthurGlen, said the company was “thrilled” to name McCann as its new creative and brand partner which would be tasked with “supporting our international creative and business ambitions.”
