IPG Suspends Russian Operations as Ukraine Invasion Continues

Interpublic Group is suspending operations in Russia following the continued invasion of Ukraine.

Following in the footsteps of Accenture and WPP earlier this month, IPG chief executive Philippe Krakowsky wrote to staff and posted on LinkedIn a note outlining the reason for taking the step.

He initially highlighted the company’s decision to support its staff as it felt “a sense of responsibility to do whatever possible on behalf of people whose lives are being upended and threatened.”

He explained that IPG employees had been helping at the borders of nearby countries to assist and provide transportation for those seeking safety away from Ukraine and that displaced Ukrainians were also living with some of them.
