IPG Mediabrands announced two global leadership appointments today as it seeks to accelerate its transformation effort across global markets.

The media agency network hired Charles Schwab’s Marlene Pelage-Bates as global chief financial officer. Her predecessor, IPG veteran Guy Beach, will move into a role as global president.

Pelage-Bates will be tasked with managing global profits and losses, leading a team of global agency brands, regional CFOs and global controllers across the network. She will also oversee corporate financial planning and analysis functions for IPG Mediabrands.

In his new role, Beach will be tasked with implementing core operational transformation initiatives and achieving sustainability goals across regions globally.
