Innocean Worldwide is acquiring Wellcom Group, a company headquartered in Australia that specializes in digital marketing, content production and marketing operations technology. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
According to Innocean, a global marketing communications firm based in South Korea, the acquisition will “secure digital-centric future growth and expand its global network.” With the acquisition, Innocean now expands into markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and New Zealand.
Wellcom Group currently runs eight subsidiaries in the U.S., Europe and the Asia-Pacific area. Its clients include Tesco, ANZ Bank, Victoria’s Secret and Louis Vuitton.
By acquiring Wellcom Group, Innocean widens it global network to 19 countries and more than 2,700 employees.
“Thanks to Wellcom Group, Innocean’s digital marketing value chain is now complete,” Kun-Hee Ahn, Innocean’s global CEO, wrote in a statement. “By maximizing the synergy between the Korean HQ and overseas operations, we will stand as a truly global leading company in the digital transformation era.”
In 2017, Innocean—which is also the Hyundai Motor Company’s global advertising division— acquired Los Angeles-based creative agency David & Goliath.
