Havas North America co-chairman and chief creative officer Jason Peterson is leaving the agency “on mutual agreement,” according to an external release.

“We thank Jason for his contributions to our creative organization in North America and wish him all the very best in the future,” the statement continued.

A very slightly different version of the announcement, written by Havas global chairman and CEO Yannick Bolloré under the subject line “Jason Peterson to leave the group,” went out to all Havas staff this afternoon.

“Dear all,” it opened before including the same very simple statement and concluding, “Thank you for your ongoing collaboration and support.
