Havas New York Joins Effort to Combat Homelessness Among LGBTQ+ Youth

The agency teams up with The Ali Forney Center to create an ‘issue within an issue' in New York Magazine

Approximately 8,400 of the estimated 15,000-20,000 young people experiencing homelessness in New York City are LGBTQ+. Though there are many programs, nonprofits and shelters fighting to change these statistics, the numbers are daunting and the resources limited.

To that end, creative agency Havas New York and LGBTQ+ based nonprofit The Ali Forney Center have teamed with New York Magazine for “The Issue Within The Issue.” With 40% of New York’s houseless youth identifying as LGBTQ+, New York Mag’s 17th annual Reasons To Love New York issue is dedicating 40% of the advertising space to educating readers about this ongoing crisis.
