The iPod is dead. Long live the iPod (ad campaign).

While Apple might have recently announced it’s officially discontinuing the iPod product line for the first time since its game-changing debut terraformed the MP3 player landscape in 2001, one memorable aspect of the device endures: its advertising.

Last fall, Apple revived the “Silhouettes” campaign from agency TBWA\Media Arts Lab, though the colorful, music-driven vibe is now being used to sell the third-generation wireless AirPods. The campaign originally launched in 2003 as a visually minimalist way of promoting the original iPod and its white, wired earbuds.

Today, the brand launched an ad that injects serious star power into the “Silhouettes” revival by featuring singer Harry Styles and his song “Music for a Sushi Restaurant,” the opening track from his newest album, Harry’s House.
