A group of TBWA veterans have joined forces with the editor in chief of Nordic newspaper Helsingin Sanomat to launch their own creative agency which has begun with the creation of an initiative that aims to combat Russia’s propaganda following its invasion of Ukraine.

The agency, named United Imaginations, was founded by three former TBWA\Helsinki executives: chief creative officer Jyrki Poutanen, who left earlier this year takes up the same position, chief executive Henri Valtere, who spent nearly six years at the agency in the role of executive director and senior partner before leaving to lead independent agency Ivalo, and chief information officer Steve Brown, who spent almost five years at TBWA\Helsinki as chief content officer, creative and partner before leaving to work at 180 Kingsday in 2017 and various other positions.
