Finnish creative agency Hasan & Partners has named Riku Vassinen as its new chief executive, moving from Ogilvy where he was in charge of operations in Africa as a managing partner.

The Helsinki-based agency—which works with a number of national operations including Fairtrade Finland, Plan International Finland and The Finland Forward Project, which is part of the Prime Minister’s Office—was founded in 1991 by the late Ami Hasan who died last May.

Vassinen, who hails from Finland, has spent the last decade working outside the country—having also held leadership roles as R/GA and JWT—and will take up his new position in April.

“As an agency, Hasan & Partners has always enjoyed a strong identity—and this identity is what I want to develop and intensify jointly with the team.
