Digital marketing agency Croud has announced the acquisitions of luxury performance agency Verb Brands—which will offer a new service element within the parent company—just days after it bought impakt Advisors, the data and analytics company.

Croud has agreed to both deals following funding made by private equity investment firm LDC in November 2019, which has seen the company’s headcount grow to 340 people as a result.

With Verb, founded in 2013 by chief executive Chris Donnelly to work with luxury and premium brands—which have included Flannels, Bloomingdales, Calzedonia, Net-a-Porter, Bugatti and Harrods—Croud will expand its digital web design and development capabilities, as well as influencer marketing services.

Verb, which has offices located in London, Manchester and Shanghai, will combine its luxury expertise with Croud’s international network of 2,500 on-demand digital experts.
