DDB New York Strengthens Its Digital Strategy, Data and Analytics Practices With a Pair of Hires

Agency adds Joe Panzarella and Reema Mitra as group directors

DDB New York boosted its strategy department with its latest two hires, welcoming Reema Mitra as group director of digital strategy and Joe Panzarella as group director of strategy and analytics. Mitra and Panzarella will both report to DDB New York chief strategy officer Stuart Hazlewood.

Reema and Joe have been instrumental to the realization of some of the smartest work in their fields,” Hazlewood said in a statement. “They will help us take the quality of the agency’s strategic product to even higher heights. The agency will be inspired by their energy, creativity and proven ability to tackle client challenges brilliantly.”

Mitra will lead the agency’s efforts to sharpen digital marketing and content planning for clients. She arrives at DDB New York from Huge, where she served as group director of social and worked with clients including Nokia Health and Kohl’s. Previously, Mitra helped increase Dove’s online presence during a stint with Edelman.

Panzarella will be responsible for overseeing all of DDB New York’s data and analytics capabilities. He arrives at the agency with over 20 years of industry experience and most recently oversaw Javelin’s digital and analytics department. Over the course of his career he has worked with brands including Verizon, AT&T and Avis and also has served as an adjunct professor teaching analytics and digital marketing at NYU’s School of Professional Studies since 2013.
