WeCapital won this year’s Creative Data Grand Prix for “Data Tienda,” a commercial about financial inclusion by helping Mexican women gain access to credit. It reflects the trend of new thinking to solve old problems.

The vast majority of women in Mexico (83%) have no credit history, which prevents opportunities to start businesses or gain financial independence through loan applications. The women don’t have traditional credit cards or other records, but they do participate in loans through local shops.
