Editor’s note: Wunderman Thompson clarified that its relationship with Coppertone ended in 2019 when Bayer announced the sale of the brand. The agency also confirmed it was not involved in the pitch process.

Suntan lotion brand Coppertone is changing creative agency partners, nearly two years after getting a new parent company.

Following Nivea-maker Beiserdorf’s acquisition of Coppertone from Bayer in 2019 for $550 million, Coppertone has appointed IPG agency Huge as its creative agency of record. Huge will be responsible for integrated marketing, including brand creative, retail support and activation for the suntan
