After a 16-year partnership, DDB and Capital One are parting ways.

According to a Capital One spokesperson, the company recently conducted an agency review and selected Austin-based GSD&M as its agency of record.

“DDB has been a longtime partner, and we’ve appreciated their work throughout the years,” the Capital One spokesperson said.

DDB declined to comment, and GSD&M deferred to the client.

Capital One started working with DDB Chicago in 2004, ending the bank’s relationship with McCann. Last year, Jon Flannery, formerly executive creative director at FCB Chicago, joined DDB Chicago to oversee the Capital One account.
