To work on the creative team inside one of the world’s most cherished companies would be a dream for many people. That’s exactly what has happened for Nicole Taylor, former chief executive of DDB’s Spanish agency Catorce (translated as 14) and former McCann Worldgroup Australia chief executive, who has joined Lego to lead its creative agency.

As senior vice president and head of the Lego Agency, Taylor took the reins of the 400-strong in-house creative team for toy production and media company Lego in its Billund, Denmark headquarters late last year.

Outlining her first impressions of the business and how the agency division has been structured globally to produce content, Taylor spoke to Adweek about the strengths of Lego’s internal culture, her own views on the need to work externally with partners and what she has learned so far.
