Rafael Rizuto will be the new chief creative officer at BBH New York, the agency announced today.
Most recently, Rizuto served as CCO for TBD, the San Francisco-based agency he founded with innovation strategist Virginia Wang and Argonaut founder Jordan Warren in 2017. Prior to that, he was an executive creative director for 180LA.
At BBH New York, Rizuto takes the place of former CCO Gerard Caputo, who left the post in January to join Wieden + Kennedy New York as creative director.
“[Rizuto] has a remarkable track record of developing brilliant ideas that people care about, for everyone from big brands to pro bono organizations,” said a BBH New York spokesperson. “He will be the ideal leader for our creative department and an incredible asset to our clients.”
Originally from Brazil, Rizuto has done creative work all across the globe and has more than 18 years of experience. He’s worked on award-winning projects like Boost Mobile’s “Boost Your Voice” campaign, Unicef’s “UNfairy Tales” and Expedia’s “Dream Adventures.”
Prior to his role at 180LA, Rizuto worked with Ogilvy & Mather in Brazil, Ogilvy & Mather and Leo Burnett in Dubai, and Pereira O’Dell in San Francisco.
