The Tokyo Olympics may be mired in controversy amid ongoing concerns about Covid-19 outbreaks, but it is still set to be a major event for TV broadcasters. 

In the U.K., the BBC plans to broadcast more than 350 hours of TV coverage during the games, which were postponed by a year due to the pandemic. To build anticipation for the event, the BBC has released a sumptuous and evocative ad that pays tribute to the host city and focuses on the excitement of the Olympics.
