It’s now a well-known fact that, for all of its usefulness, plastic is damaging the environment in a big way—making its way into oceans, the food chain and even some of the most remote places on Earth.

To raise awareness of its harmfulness and ubiquitousness, Greenpeace Chile, via Cheil Central America, commissioned artists to recreate five treasured landscapes from the country using plastic as the medium.

The resulting artworks form the basis of a print, outdoor and social campaign to highlight the need for behavioral change and hammer home the impact of pollution on the environment.
