Maria Scileppi has had an enviable career. She’s worked for some of the biggest names in advertising, including Young & Rubicam and 72andSunny. She is a past director of the Chicago Portfolio School. And in between, she’s had stints at tech companies Autodesk and Dropbox focusing on the future of work.
In February, just as the coronavirus began its relentless march across the U.S., Scileppi started a new job—in a new kind of role—at Mother. As the Los Angeles agency’s first-ever head of learning and development, Scileppi quickly realized the first few months in her new job were not going to go as planned. How is she pivoting? How is she helping to create a culture of learning and development when agency staffers are spread far and wide?
Today on Adweek Together, agencies editor Doug Zanger talks with Scileppi about how she is fine-tuning her new role for uncertain times.
Adweek Together is a daily live discussion, streaming at 1 p.m. ET, hosted by our editors along with the leaders of the companies we cover, seeking guidance, solutions and information—together. For inquiries and feedback email us at email@example.com.
