22Squared Hires BBDO Vet as Its Content Creation and Production Lead for The Maker Studio

Alok Nath takes on newly created role

22Squared is further investing in design and market content creation, hiring Alok Nath as director of The Maker Studio.

In the newly created role, Nath will lead digital content creation and production for 22Squared’s Atlanta and Tampa Bay offices and report to 22Squared president Brandon Murphy.

“Alok is a special individual and the perfect fit for 22squared’s culture,” Murphy said in a statement. “He is a builder and maker with a can-do attitude, energy, innovation and experience.”

Nath arrives at 22Squared from BBDO Atlanta, where he has led the agency’s retail creative team, WorkBench, as senior vp, creative director since July of 2013. He joined BBDO Atlanta as vp, manager of creative services in 2003.

“It is inspiring to see how the agency is embracing the dynamic nature of our business and recognizing the growing appetite for content across the digital landscape,” Nath said in a statement. “I love to build and I love to create. My new role at 22squared allows me to do both, with the right team, the right partners and support across the agency.”

Nath’s hiring follows the arrivals of Kris McDermott as director of technology and Jim Issa as director of production for 22squared’s in-house production studio, 22Pictures, in September. Murphy was elevated from chief client officer to president in July, as Richard Ward became chairman and CEO.
